President Obama has seen his support dwindle in recent months in large part because of his foreign policy blunders. Many question where his loyalties lie, or if he simply couldn’t care less.

We witnessed the absolute dumpster fire that happened in Iraq as Obama pulled all U.S. forces before the Iraqi Army could hold its own, leading to the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

Now it appears the same thing is about to happen in Afghanistan as Obama is pushing for the complete withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country by the end of this year.

According to the New York Post, approximately a quarter of the Afghan National Security Forces are Taliban or Al-Qaeda operatives or sympathizers, totaling more than 87,000 troops.

With time running out until the deadline, and with pressure being imposed from the Obama administration, the Pentagon is relaxing the recruitment regulations for the Afghan forces. The result: known Taliban and Al-Qaeda operatives are enrolling in the Afghan military and getting paid on the U.S. taxpayer’s dime.

Before, the U.S. ramped up their vetting process in an attempt to weed out the infiltrators or prevent the Taliban infiltrators from even joining.

But now with the rush to leave Afghanistan, that process is being abandoned; and the Afghans have been put in charge of the recruitment process. Corners are being cut on background checks; and this is allowing for Taliban and Al-Qaeda forces to join up, creating an army within an army.

The Taliban and Al-Qaeda operatives routinely take advantage of opportunities to attack U.S. forces using the disguise of Afghani uniforms. Others are waiting for U.S. troops to leave in order to take over the country using the training and weapons we gave them.

Our brave men and women still fighting and serving in Afghanistan are in more danger now than ever, as they cannot be sure who is truly their ally. It looks like Obama is making sure that the Afghan war will go down as a loss, thereby sacrificing the lives of thousands of U.S. troops for the last several years. The Taliban will again take control, and the area will once again be a safe haven for Al-Qaeda.
